The San Diego Padres have suddenly adopted Yoda as their unofficial mascot. This includes making the relief pitchers wear Yoda backpacks (as well as Chewbacca), he’s appearing in promotional pictures, and on the big screen. The reason might be that Padres’ second baseman David Eckstein is married to Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ashoka in Clone Wars and creator of the Her Universe clothing line.
