Why did you decide to shine the spotlight on this Fangirl?
Okay, so Sarah is the ultimate Fangirl/cosplayer. She’s also the sweetest person ever. She’s hilariously sarcastic, but she’s also super kind. She is EXTREMELY passionate about cosplay, and she has so many creative ideas. And even then, she’ll take the time to help others with their costumes and teach them the sewing basics, although she’s super busy. She deserves this spotlight because she’d SPARKLE in it — Sarah is an awesome friend, a great writer, and a super smart Fangirl — and she would be so empowered if she was Fangirl of the Day. It would give her confidence and recognition that she truly deserves and needs right now.
How does this Fangirl express her fandom?
Sarah is pretty vocal about fandoms irl, always sharing the movies and shows she loves with her friends. She attends conventions and cosplays her favorite characters, as well as writing fanfiction and roleplaying. She’s super passionate and it shows in how she uses fandom to be social with people. Watching Marvel movies, working on fanfilms, and talking about characters is part of being friends with her.
What is her favorite quote or personal motto?
“There will always be better writers than you and there will always be smarter writers than you. There will always be people who are much better at doing this or that but, you are the only you. There are better writers out there than me, people who can plot better. But there’s nobody who can write a Neil Gaiman story like I can.”
-Neil Gaiman
What is her favorite Fangirl item that she cannot live without?
lack Widow plastic cup. Her old friend had one that she loved, but Sarah couldn’t find one anywhere. So she went on an epic search that involved a stop at EVERY SINGLE STORE we went to. Lots of Wal-Marts. Until, finally, she searched the Internet high and low, willing to pay like twenty bucks….and found it on Ebay for two dollars. Now she won’t let anyone else drink out of it and I think she maybe sleeps with it in her bed.
