Why did you decide to shine the spotlight on this fangirl?
Known to the horror movie and art community as Living Dead Girl Nicole she not only enjoys dark and mythical art in all its forms but she also creates it! She has a Etsy shop where she sells her creations to fellow horror, sci fi and mythical art fans! Her creations are not only for your wall but also wearable!!
How does this fangirl express her fandom?
In her personal fashion style as well as in her artwork. She is covered in tattoos that represent her love of things including a full sleeve dedicated to dark woman in cinema and TV. The sleeve started with a pin up girl version of the Bride of Frankenstein and has turned into a mural of what she calls “Pretty Scary” woman. This includes Lily Munster, Morticia Adams, Lydia Deetz, Elvira and Lucy Westenra). She also attends tons of horror movie conventions and goes to her local Ren Faires in full costume every year. She has had the honor of giving her artwork to many horror movie and rock star icons. She also runs a Etsy Team called the Etsy Massacre Team in which she started because there were no teams on Etsy at the time that allowed fans of the horror movie genre to join forces. This past year she was asked by Joy Love of FinalGirl.com the sister company of Horror Hound Ltd. to join their team of contributors. She will be writing articles, conducting interviews and doing reviews for them. When her and her husband Frank got married in 2009 it was far from traditional. They got married on Halloween and she wore a dress replicated of Mina Harkers in the Bram Stoker’s Dracula movie (also her favorite book). Her Dad walked her down the aisle to the Beetlejuice movie theme song and when announced husband and wife exited to the Munsters. Each table didn’t have your usual #s on it. Instead she created tiny little horror movie posters and your table card had the matching villian/character on them to tell you where to sit. It was a full masquerade ball due to her love of the movie Labyrinth and their cake topper was Frankenstein and his Bride. Her love of the genre is also a way of life to her.
What is her favorite quote or personal motto?
“When other little girls wanted to be ballerinas, I wanted to be Elvira” – Living Dead Girl Nicole
What is her favorite fangirl item that she cannot live without?
She has quite the collection but I would have to say that it’s the Lily Munster replica bat necklace her husband Frank got for her. It looks just like the one Herman gave to Lily so it makes it that much more special. She keeps it in a special jewelry box.
