She constantly inspires me: Alia is an unashamed fangirl who always has a Batman, Avengers, or Star Wars notebook on hand. She also quotes Star Wars, Pokémon, and comic book characters on a daily bases. The lovely Ms. Alia never ceases to amaze, and she is always willing to channel her inner Yoda or Gandalf to offer her friends sage advice.
How does this Fangirl express her fandom?
Alia represents her fandom by partaking in Star Wars Tee Shirt Thursday every week at school. Alia is also one of the leaders of the group Apollonian Society at school. Apollonian is a club where the discussions range from love interests in Hunger Games and the archetypes in Harry Potter to feminism in popular media.
What is her favorite quote or personal motto?
Yoda’s “Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter,” Alia also loves quotes from the show Pokémon.

Definitely her little Yoda action figure that she has taken throughout her travels to Europe on a volleyball tour.
