What is her Fangirl interest?
Serena has an interest in just about anything from Star Wars (Ahsoka is her favorite character), to Doctor Who, British comedy, gaming…but her greatest love is anime!
Why did you decide to shine the spotlight on this Fangirl?
Serena definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. She doesn’t care if a character is a boy or girl, she’ll pursue making a costume, and there’s no fairy princesses for her! She’s had a large hand in putting together costumes the past couple of years, including Inuyasha and Jeff the Killer. Because of her love of anime and Manga, she’s thinking of pursuing a career in animation, and would absolutely LOVE to visit Japan! She’s very open about her interests, and isn’t afraid to be herself!
How does this Fangirl express her fandom?
Serena draws, and draws, and draws! More often than not, we’ll see her with a notebook and pencils just sketching away. She’s much better with the Manga-style drawing than I am and does wonderful work! Besides the drawing, she is quite creative when it comes to creating costumes of her favorite characters. She’s also in martial arts, and often sees similarities with Jedi training 😀
What is her favorite Fangirl item that she cannot live without?
Serena would be lost without a pencil and notebook!
