How did you become interested in this fandom?
Princess Leia was the heroic female that started it all. She was brave and bossy and beautiful and she didn’t need anyone to save her. She was the spark that started the fire for so many women that Star Wars took on special meaning from the moment I laid eyes on “A New Hope.”
What’s the best thing about being part of this fandom?
Strong women! They span the entire extended universe – women not afraid to speak up for themselves, to take a stand, to believe in themselves. From Jyn to Padme to Leia and now to Rey, Star Wars and its strong females speaks to women all over the world and that is the best thing ever.
How do you subtly (or not-so-subtly!) work your fandom into everyday life?
In the not so subtle fangirl way, I live Star Wars. My jewelry, my clothing, my purse, even my credit card (!) are from the fandom. You see me; you know I love Star Wars.
