What is her Fangirl interest?

Why did you decide to shine the spotlight on this Fangirl?
Being a Fangirl helped bring me a lot closer to my brother despite our 10 year age difference. When I was younger, many of our friends took me for granted simply because I was my super nerdy brother’s younger sister (he’s probably one of the biggest Star Wars fans you will ever meet and one of the kindest, too) but growing into the Fangirl of my own has helped show people that I’m not just a sidekick but my own hero. Not to mention being a Fangirl has led me to not only do amazing things and travel to fantastic places (because who doesn’t want to channel their inner Indiana Jones) but it drove my love of history and folklore which is what I studied in college.
How does this Fangirl express her fandom?
I like to wear my Fangirlness on my sleeves….literally and figuratively! Being a part of fan groups like the Rebel Legion and other Star Wars groups for 10 years has given me a strong sense of community and community service that a lot of people forget about after it isn’t “required” after high school. Being like my heroes from the screen and pages in real life is what I strive for every day. To be honest, heroic, not flawless but understanding of that, and most of all compassionate to all. And of course wearing (nearly) nothing but Her Universe apparel whenever I can!
What is her favorite quote or personal motto?
Live out of your imagination, not your history. ~ Stephen Covey
What is her favorite Fangirl item that she cannot live without?
My Narnia (Susan’s horn) necklace. It was my lucky charm while studying in England – and looking for that magical wardrobe.
