Name: Angie M.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Bio: As a lifelong fan girl was first exposed to it as a kid with Star Wars. My fandoms of choice also include Harry Potter, Universal Monsters, Disneyland, Legos, Music, video games, horror films, and comics. I love to collect and engrosses myself in my fandoms and also wear my fandom tattoos proudly.
If you could cosplay any character, who would it be?
I do a Mandalorian named Parjai Nu’gratua (Victory Not Vengence) as part of the Mandalorian Mercs costume club.
How do you subtly (or not-so-subtly!) work your fandom into everyday life?
I’d say with the tattoos I have put on my body, displaying them proudly. I have Star wars Tattoos, Harry potter, Monster (Frankenstein Inspired), “As you wish” Princess Bride and band tattoos. My desk at work is also a mesh of all my core fandoms.
How did you become interested in this fandom?
I honestly don’t remember at what age my love of Star Wars came into my life, but I don’t remember a time I didn’t obsess about the trilogy in some way. It’s been a solid constant in my growing up that I’m glad I had. When I was happy or sad I had The Force and the heroes Luke and Leia always to look forward too. Leia Saves Luke and Han I was sold. Disney acquiring the Star Wars franchise was a pleasant surprise, I’m happy more kids get to grow up with the Force and the stories will be around for a long time to come!
