Why did you decide to shine the spotlight on this Fangirl?
Kumiko takes pride in being different and isn’t afraid to enjoy sci-fi even though most of the other girls her age don’t. She loves to emulate the gentle-but-fierce mindset of characters like Ahsoka!
How does this Fangirl express her fandom?
She learns from her favorite characters, especially Ahsoka Tano, Sabine from Rebels, and Yoda. She loves to follow in their footsteps by practicing peacefulness, fierceness, and whimsy! Kumiko recently earned her black belt in karate (at age 10!) and is proud of the way karate emphasizes peacemaking and conflict-resolution, with fighting only as a last resort for defense. Very Jedi!
